A boom industry in Montreal?

0ctober, 27th 2015 - Our health, our home, our life, our car – Quebecers insure all these and so many more, making the Damage Insurance industry a boom area for your new job. The facts? Damage insurance is challenging and diversified. In this province alone, more than 1,600 jobs are opened up every year, by 900 employers!

What do you need? An AEC (Attestation d’études collégiales) is key. John Abbott College, one of the first to offer this program of study in English in the province, has a 100% job placement rate for those students who passed the industry exam. Every student is now working in the exact job he or she was aiming for: brokers, agents, claim adjusters, and underwriters.

Private events such as the recently held insurance industry job fair, ensure continued success for students of this program.

“The short and long-term career perspectives for graduates of the Damage Insurance program are very promising. The program provides all the necessary skills needed to work in this field. Being taught by active industry experts, they also prepare our students for the certification exam,” says Sylvie Boucher, Coordinator for this popular program.
