John Abbott set to reveal Hall of Distinction

Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, Québec – May 19, 2016 – The Hall of Distinction, a new point of interest on campus, has been created to recognize alumni, employees, and friends of the College who have made an indelible mark on John Abbott College and beyond. It will be revealed to the public Thursday, May 26, 2016.

Response to the call for nominations in the month of November 2015 was impressive. The ten people selected for this inaugural honour personify the dedication and hard work that has shaped John Abbott College in so many different ways.

The following are the ten inductees for 2016:

Robert Burns, 1st Director General, John Abbott College
Catherine Sidorenko, focussed on her students
Gary Sims, promoted use of audiovisual technology in the classroom
George Wall, created the Physical Education program
Harold Wilson, recognized by peers & students alike for teaching excellence

As this is cause for celebration, an evening has been planned at the College that is open to all who wish to attend. Most of the inductees will be on hand for the evening.
Tickets to the cocktail, served at 6 p.m. in the Agora, with a super shortly thereafter, cost $50 per person.
